A woman who became the unwitting focus of Oprah Winfrey's rant at J.D. Vance has responded to the gaffe, saying is 'disgusted' by the Republican vice presidential nominee and suggesting she is proud to be a 'childless cat lady'.
Winfrey was endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris at the DNC last night when she referenced Vance's resurfaced criticism that the US was being run by 'a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives'.
The broadcast awkwardly cut to a nonplussed woman - now identified as Maryland Delegate Teresa S. Woorman - directly after Winfrey delivered the cat line. The delegate quickly turned as if to evade the unfortunate timing.
Woorman has since acknowledged the gaffe, making it clear she is 'having a great time at the DNC' and found the whole encounter humorous. She also took the opportunity to hit out at the Republican vice presidential nominee.
'D**n right this childless cat lady is 100% disgusted by J.D. Vance in general and 100% behind @KamalaHarris and @GovTimWalz! Also I may be childless but I do hope that's not a permanent condition, thanks!' she wrote.

'Voting is the best of America,' she said. 'And I have always, since I was eligible to vote,I've always voted my values. So that is what is needed in this election now more than ever.'
'So I'm calling on all you independents and all you undecideds,' Winfrey added.
She encouraged them to vote for the Democratic ticket because it stood for 'decency and respect.'
'But more than anything else, let us choose freedom. Why? Because that's the best of America,' Winfrey said. 'We're all Americans and together let's all choose Kamala Harrisssss,' she said in a sing-song voice.
