The 208-room InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue now is scheduled to open in June. The first InterContinental-branded hotel in Washington State and in the Pacific Northwest, the property is part of the Avenue, which also features 365 luxury condominiums, 85,000 square feet of retail space and celebrity chef–led dining.
“Bellevue has evolved into a dynamic center for innovation, and deserves a hotel and residential development that mirrors its bright future,” said Andy Lakha, CEO of owner Fortress Development.
The hotel will feature 190 contemporary luxury rooms, ranging from 306 to 380 square feet; 17 suites and panorama suites, ranging from 420 to 600 square feet; and a 1,500-square-foot, two-bedroom Presidential Suite.
Chef Joshua Skenes, the only American chef to garner three Michelin stars cooking entirely over open fire, will bring his fresh take on fine dining to the complex, sourcing from Washington State’s mountains, forests, lakes and ocean. Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will introduce an Asian fusion restaurant inspired by Japanese culinary traditions. And Chef Robbie Felice, a James Beard Rising Star Chef of the Year nominee, is creating an Italian ramen shop that will offer a menu of Japanese and Italian cuisine.
For meetings, the third and fourth floors of the Avenue Center, connected by sky bridge to the hotel, will offer more than 12,000 square feet of space in nine function rooms. These include a 4,250-square-foot grand ballroom, a 2,400-square-foot junior ballroom, two 400-square-foot breakout rooms, and two 350-square-foot boardrooms.
