Silverado Resort, a 1,200-acre property with 345 guest rooms in California's Napa Valley, has completed a $1.5 million renovation to its event space. The resort enlisted SFA Design to develop a new aesthetic that now reflects the area's natural beauty in the ballroom, conference and meeting rooms, and prefunction areas. The valley's rolling green hills, soft earth tones, green vines and purple grapes are represented in the color palette, patterns, textures and new wall art found throughout the 17,000 square feet of remodeled meeting space.

The 5,160-square-foot Silverado Ballroom — the centerpiece of the renovation — has been reimagined with new carpeting, millwork and fixtures, creating a light and breezy ambience for larger events of up to 400 people.

"With new paint, wallpaper, art, carpeting, lighting and furnishings, our meetings and event spaces have been completely transformed with a warm yet fresh and modern design," said Todd Shallan, vice president and managing director of the resort. "The overall look is one of graceful elegance — a seamless fusion of bold colors, distinctive lighting, tactile textures and natural materials conveying a contemporary Napa story."

As part of an overall modernization effort, the resort is repositioning itself specifically for the meetings market, from corporate events to weddings and parties. The property also sports two PGA championship par-72, 18-hole golf courses on-site, originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and subsequently redesigned by hall-of-fame golfer and former Silverado owner Johnny Miller. There also are nine tennis courts, three bocce and three pickleball courts, three pools, and a 16,000-square-foot spa and fitness center. In total, the resort provides 70,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
